Eine seltsame juristische Formel in einer Grabinschrift aus Myra

In this article, an epitaph from Myra is published that was erected for a woman called Hellas from Trebendai. The fee for the unauthorized use of the tomb is to be paid to Eleuthera, the goddess worshipped in her hometown. In addition, the tomb is protected by a legal formula, so far without parallel and hard to explain: the «praxis» (exaction) shall follow the conditions of a loan contract.
