Deux inscriptions d’Asie Mineure au déchiffrement inachevé

This paper reassasses two previously unsufficiently edited inscriptions. I: A boundary inscription found near Cyzicus is deciphered by showing that the sign S here is equivalent to the letter kappa. The demarcated property belonged to the Church of the Theotokos of Artake (cur-rent Erdek). Two Byzantine chronicles mention the same church on the occasion of Heraclius’s seizure of power in 610. II: A fragmentary inscription from Philomelion, compared to other insc-riptions from Asia Minor, is restored as a double acclamation, in honor of Philomelion and a no-table person from the city who carried out renovation work.
